Not all trails are easy. Some aren’t even real. After an all-nighter shooting the milky way and sunrise from the peak of Fa Shan near Po Pin Chau, we battled down through thorny brush and vines above the High Island Reservoir. Originally planned to be a “short-cut,” this route quickly turned into lamentation at the collection of cuts and scrapes accumulating on our skin. It was a relief to finally get down, but still, watching sunrise and the stars twirl over Hong Kong that night made it tempting to turn around and go back up again!
